Hi all!
I recently tried to set up an account on my space because I have some people that I have been trying to contact and I found them on My Space, so if I set up an account I can contact those particular people. I filled in all of the information that they asked for, but they had a capcia at the end, and it has no audio capcia, only a visual one.
I tried writing My Space and telling them about it and asking for help setting up my account, but they wrote me back and told me that they did not have that service where tey can help you set up your account.
I would like to know if there is anything else I could do besides finding a sighted person to do it for me? If anyone on the Zone has My Space, how did you set up your account?

Thanks,

Misty

Hi, Do you use Firefox? If you do, you can get Web Visum to solve your captchas for you. There's also a website that can solve them but I forget what it is off the top of my head.
Hth.

I use WebVisum personally. There's also an option, although you may not choose to use it since it does require your cell number, where you can avoid getting Captchas once you sign in, unless of course someone's individual settings require it. But what you do is supply your mobile number and carrier and they'll send you a text message with a five-digit code. You enter that code into the little edit box and submit it and from then on you won't get any Captchas barring those on individual profiles. Otherwise you'll have to fill out Captchas in order to send messages. That is to say they'll allow a certain number of what I call free messages per day to be sent, but then they decide they need to verify that you're human and so you have to solve the Captcha...every time you want to send another message. But if you don't want to give your cell number (although they only use it that one time for sending the code unless you sign up to get mobile alerts), you can switch over to Firefox for your Myspace needs, even if it isn't your default browser, and use WebVisum. I use it and have for about a year. I really like it.

Hi all, and thanks. I currently use internet explorer, but I will try downloading Firefox and trying Web Visum out. I never knew that there were tools out there that would solve capcias for you.
Thanks,
Misty

Hi. I downloaded Firefox and went to Web Visum, but it won't let me create an account in order to use the software unless I get an invite from someone who already uses the software and is registered with them. Is there anyone on here that could possibly send me an invite? I guess they changed it to a peer invite system instead of just being able to sign up without being invited because of spammers or something.
Thanks,

Misty

ok, check your private messages. I guess you can generate an invitation code, which I did for you. :)

Hi all. I was able to get the site to send me an invite, because I found a link on there that said request invite, and a few hours later I got an invitation in my email inbox. I have the account now and the software and was finally able to get on My Space and set up my account.

Thank you all for your help.

Thanks,
Misty
